What is the compression ratio of this engine and the volume of the combustion chamber?

i find it hard to believe you can't find other options for pistons though, whats the compression height and the piston pin measurements?
Thank you for showing intrest and support. I would like to use the Vitara pistons in my hyundai if they would fit. im not to clued up on engine spec's but this is all i know about my pistons.

Scoupe has a bore of 75.5mm and a stroke of 83.5mm
capacity of 1498
Compression is 7-5,1
131.5 Center to Center.plus minus...
Engine moves Clock Wise, Pressfit into conrod

What else do you guys need to know?

Say What ?

Joseph Davis & SunshineSketches i read a Article about amonth ago and it says if your Octane is High enuff your compression ratio becomes Irrelevant! What is your View on this Subject.

I have a Huge Intercooler, Bigger Injectors a Awsome Managment system & awsome Turbo. I intend on Ceramic Coating My pistons and Adding Water Injection. Besides that My Tank Octane Is a Minimum of 95 and when i hit the Streets my octane is normilly over 100. So u rekon my setup will be bullet proof or am i reaching?

***Update i was boosting the car Over the weekend 1.4 bar and the car is really reliable. dont think the car has ever running this smooth & power full fitting the Meagsquirt has been a Great Success.....

I'm sure he has the same view as I do: after a few thousand miles running C16 (racing gas, leaded), the cost involved in fueling up as well as replacing O2 sensors (or just running rich cause you never replace them) makes the money SAVED on HMT pistons irrelevant!

You can bitch and whine and discuss this crap forever, the only way you can be sure it will work is to try it. Just don't try to make killer HP with lots of timing, because the only thing 'killer' you'll get is detonation.

End of ------- thread.

Hey Pwoos, Stop Being a Jack ***. Just Saw ST's dyno run 300nm Awsome Stuff. and as you can see he has been doing the R& D himself. Why is there so much hate for anything not Honda? 300nm on Pump gas is gewd stuff for a 1500 Sohc....

Wiseco does make pistons and ring sets for you car. I believe its listed under 1.5 x3 or lc, no matter they are all the same size. As for the scoupe pistons I am doing 21psi, you seen my chart (though my turbo sucks). The stock scoupe pistons compression are 7.8:1 I believe. Lucky you that their are oil squirters in that nice cast iron block of yours, no oil squirters for my x3.

I hunted for the link but i cant find it, sorry. I used to have it bookmarked. The site listed pistons and rings, even gapless rings. There was also another company making them on the same site, sorry its useless if i cant find it though.... If it helps they had them for the 1.5, 1.6 and the 2.0

More like if your tune is perfect and you don't run too much power..
Cast pistons have much lower HP limits than forged..
Tuning can cause high EGTs which cast pistons don't handle as well either.

Contact Venolia for pistons - reasonable price.. they can build anything. You need to lower your compression and go forged anyway.

Who is Venolia?

and these are a Different Variation of the Exa's, See persistance pays off, i will be trying these and will keep you guys posted. I like the Thicker Ringland of these over the Original Exa's....

Tell me about the Oil Rings gap? I am to understand that the Oil ring space is
suppose to have grooves or Hole's in them?

When I spoke to the Scoupe JHB dude he said the Original's have HOLES in it
Not Grooves and the Cheap Jap Imports have Groves Not Holes.
and the ones that have the Holes are the best. Now these NEW Exa' pistons that
Andy has got the Ring landing is similar to the Scoupe's GT's.Much Thicker than
the EXA 1's but the new Exa 2 have NO holes or Grooves.(is this a must on a
turbo pistons?)
Other than that the mechanic is Very Confident about these Pistons.
