You may want to just give Wiseco a ring, see what they could do to some d16 piston blanks.

You will have to give them some measurements anyways, so you should go looking for them or measure yourself... I'm sure the 4g15 has documentation somewhere. Then look at this site: http://www.knology.net/~jediklc/D.htm and see if Vitaras (or any other aftermarket d16 piston) would work.

Not using toto's. i have order HMC Pistons but if they dont arrive gonna use EXA Turbo Piston's Deck Skimmed and Pocketted to suit hyundai. also gonna ceramic coat the Deck and upto first ring landing then they do a cermaic coating for underneath/the sides for Lunbrication...

You only ceramic coat the face of the piston - do not go down the sides to the top ring, ceramic coating will surely screw up your cylinder walls it's not designed to be a friction bearing surface also it will mess up your tolerances.

You want to dry film lubricate the piston skirts, which is like a teflon coating, and if you are going to do the insides/bottom (cavity) of the piston you want an oil shedding coating, not ceramic nor DFL (dry film lubrication).

Here are the pistons I just got done with:

So i just Ceramic the Face/Deck of the Piston, and what do i do to the entire sides of the piston? anybody else had the pistons Ceramic Coated/Know about these things.... The Ceramic Agents told me to Ceramic to the First ring landing are they WRONG?

okie so it has finally come to this?

VS

To me it look's like the Toto's have a Much Fatter Ring landing but the Exa is a Better Cast Piston? These Exa pics are the pistons just before they went into a accent turbo... The exa has How ever got thicker core forging and is heavier..

There is a Bigger Exa turbo piston set pic here http://www.iformation.co.za/scoupe/exa pistons.jpg
