I purchased a set of five or six carbide burrs from Ebay over a year ago and have put several of them through hell. They still look great. Just buy a big *** tub of vaseline and dip the burr in it every few minutes. Kerosene will work fairly well also.

KENNAMETAL, look into that company man, hands down they have some of the best ---- out there. The best carbide tools you can get are from the swiss, and make sure you tell them what kind of metal its going to be for and also what kind of finishes your trying to achieve, the world of carbide is amazing now, they use so many different coatings on the carbides to get you the results you want, some of them dont even use coolant when they are making their cuts anymore because the thermal shock from the coolant actualy does more damage then running these extremly durable cutters by themselves. The longevity of these cutters is pretty amazing

I work at a production Machine shop here for GM and there are SO MANY variations of every size carbide bits.

Im in charge to spend my thursdays doing inventory of what we do/dont have and place any nessecary orders, we have a catalogue from a company and its litterally 300 pages of just carbide bits in different coatings, sizes, variations

And yeah weve also got some new production bits/inserts that you arent supposed to run with coolant, makes a dam big mess when these machines are cranking out 140 parts/hour

Home depot is a good choice if its a generic style youre after

dremel makes a bit that is perfect for porting. if you get those high dollar coated, diamond tip, cro-molly, blah blah blah tiped bits, you will slice through that manifold like butter.

my $.02, get the dremel one from home-depot or whever they sell dremel ---- at. they sell them in various sizes, get the one in the middle.
