i went and got my car tuned today , but i had my boost at 5psi just because i didn't want to turn it up until i got tuned since my basemap was made for a smaller turbo. well we were doing our WOT runs and once we were done i went to tun up the boost. i have a homemade mbc and it usually worked before but now i can't get it to go over 6-7psi.

basically i have my mbc almost all the way closed and nothing changes.

a friend of mine gave me a turboxs mbc to try but it looks kinda weird. just a long hose with a T at one end and a **** at the other. anybody know how to use it or what way it goes?

anybody have any suggestions on what could be keeping my boost low? im gonna try messing with the wastegate and boost controller in the morning.

sounds like one of those ebay mbc"s sounds like your the proud owner of a boost leak.

 

i've never seen one like it but i will get some new batterys for my digicam and post a pic

sounds like boost leak ...could be coming from your poopy mbc ... among 19,000 other things

 

here is the new MBC i was gonna try, if i could figure out how it worked

 

umm, thats 1/2 of a turboxs mbc, now all you need is the other half.

try making one yourself. It's cheaper that way
