Default Car was blowing white smoke on startup/burning coolant at alarming rate.

So me and my buddy undid the head today, and pulled the gasket out and it looks fine (not burnt through anywhere). We haven't got the head totally off yet (the D16Z6 head is a ------- ----- to get off), we have to get the last bolt on the bottom of the intake manifold off and are having some problems with finding the right tool. Anyways, when pulling the head off, it spilled coolant everywhere, two cyls are full of it, and two are dry. I can't get a good look at the sleeves, but it doesn't look like any are cracked. I have been running 10psi on my stock block for about 9 months now. She was going through a liter of coolant every week or so as a general rule of thumb( I drove to a small town and back, 400kms and I had to refill the coolant three times during the trip because it was starting to overheat). Does anyone know what it could be? (Also my turbo does not have coolant lines hooked up to it) Like I said the gasket looks fine.

when it leaks it could be a warped head, check the head and make sure it is stright, or have it resurfaced anyway.
excessive timing can cause the sleevs to shift slighty which also ***** up ur head gasket sealing

and check the block. straight edge and feeler gauges. look at the manuals for the specs.
