Default can't separate the exhaust housing on a Holset I just got, need some ideas

So, I got my H1C in the mail, and tried clocking it for my setup.. after I removed all the bolts and brackets holding it together, I still find the housing very much stuck on the center section.. i've tried blasting it with a can of wd-40, put it in a vice, beat it with a rubber mallet, a ball ping hammer, etc.

what the ---- is going on? this ---- is rusted solid, halp!

Use better penetrating lube and lube it for a day or two then try the hammer again and if that doesn't work put some heat on it.

pb blaster > wd40 hit solid parts of it with a metal hammer every once in a while, while the pb blaster soaks in. It'll go, grasshopper, just give it time and brute, blunt physical force

I prefer to call it every racial slur I can think of and then it usually just falls off by itself.

Get out the torch or Porta Power.

When you know how and when to use the torch you use it everywhere!

Nothing like some toast made with a torch!

New concept? Hardly. 90% of chefs I know have a torch in their kitchen. The majority of them use it for Creme Brulee and seafood (seared Ahi, etc) but I'm sure they've experimented with other foods as well.

I had to use a sledge hammer with liberal amounts of hard blows. Kinda like a fat chick, close your eyes and keep hitting it until you get your way.

Seriously, mine wasn't rusted and it was really sealed on there. You definately won't distort or crack the housing, just don't hit the v-band spot. It works like the hammer/ball-joint trick, although that never worked for me.
