Default Cant Pass emissions...

At first i went in for emissions with a D16z6, fmu, timing retared, garrett turbo at low boost, VAFC II, 255 walbro fuel pump...it didnt pass..which i knew would happen..if passed on everything cept HC... in my town the limit is 220 HC... so I put my timing back to normal, took off the fmu, turbo and fuel pump...and left the vafc on...i went in today and it still failed...at idling...it was at about 500 HC... what the ---- is wrong?? does the VAFC II have anything to do with it.... Please help!

Do you have larger injectors still? would the fuel pump be dumping more fuel than stock, maybe adjust fuel pressure, i'm not really sure, sorry...Matt

you dont have to take the turbo off, just disconnect the wastegate arm.
set all the settings to 0 on the vafc.
if you know someone with an hf, cx or 96+ precat, use those headers and then you have 2 catalytic convertors.
works good in cali.

also make sure you car is warmed up real good.

how would you use a stock header if you still have a turbo installed on the car ? :P

use the "heet" along with about a gallon of gas. It is essentially alcahol and burns super clean, but you motor will make very little power. If it still doesn't pass try a higher concentration of heet/to high octane gas. It will work, just get the concentration right.
