Default Can downpipe / Oilpan clearance cause overheating?

my dp is just touching the oil pan in two places. can this heat soak oil and cause high temps? temp gauge sits at about 3/4 after about 10 mins of driving.

I would be more worried about dumping the clutch or fast shifting & the downpipe punching the oil pan

you better watch yourself buddy.....you better ------- watch yourself

So move the pipe.. like the poster above, once it goes through the pan, thats when you'll wish you had fixed it.

If you're worried about temps, put some header wrap on it.

My EGTs can hit 1500-1600 degrees on uphill boost cruise.. Pipes get hot.

How is your downpipe going to go through your oil pan when everything rocks together since they are all connected to each other? :1

But I cant see that causing overheating. It's either poor tuning, shitty radiator or your fan is'nt turning on.

well, i had a hondata in there at first. was tuned by brauning ms. not sure about tune. done everything to the cooling system now. pulled the waterpump hoping to see some corrosion or a loose wheel but nope. bled coolant, changed thermo, changed rad, spal fan pulling, new fan switch, new fan relay, 80/20 mix w/water wetter. man so freaking frustrated.
