if that jackass doesn't show up any time soon I'll let you use my bomber tune when I get one made, it will be sure to blow ---- up.

I have a tuned one as well. 12.0:1 across the board from 3k-8k with vtec around 5k or so. If projekteg doesnt show up of course...

Re:calling projekteg

i haven't even tuned mine yet, i'm just running a base map, which you could set up yourself anyways. try one of these guys .bin's.

i'm running my car with a Vafc 11psi and 6degrees of timming retardation. will it be worth it to go turbo edit and obd1?

Re:calling projekteg

well, te is for obd0, but yes, it would be well worth your time and money to convert to obd1 and run uberdata.....

afc advances your timing, so unless you have a btm or some other device to lower your timing per psi of boost, then you have to retard it at the dizzy but by doing so, you're sacrifing bottom end power.

Re:calling projekteg

so if he already has the vfac, and not the time to convert, 30% is the way to go right now.

then upgrade to the sexy uberdata program.

i didn't see him metion that he was running an afc ??? but if he is, i wouldn't try 30% to start with, -30% is a good starting point though ;)

Re:calling projekteg

the distributor is only 6degrees retarded though and the vafc was tunned on a chassis dyno. will turbo edit or uberdata and obd1 be worth it? i just keep on hearing how noone runs the vafc anymore and how great TE and Uber are.

projekteg 09-01-2004 12:31 PM

Re:calling projekteg

uberdata is much better than an afc, not really even comparable.

Re:calling projekteg

was your car tuned on a dyno when you had a vafc? how retarded was the timming at the distributor? i know that know you're just using a base map

projekteg 09-01-2004 12:45 PM

Re:calling projekteg

i never used a vafc. i converted to obd1 before i was even boosted.
