Default Burning oil when I stomp on it

It never used to burn oil before the turbo came, now when I floor it, blue smoke comes out of my exhaust, not terrible but it's noticable, any ideas what's causing it?

maybe., the turbo is a t25 with about 30,000 miles on it, no shaft play, good condition.

How many miles are actually on your engine? Could be just valve seals or even normal smoking. I've noticed that alot of turbo cars even the factory turbocharged STI's and Evo8's puff out a bit of smoke under acceleration.

what year car did the turbo come off of, because seals go bad, even though it only has 30k. If it sat there a while, it still could have been wearing away the seals.

Haha, yeah seals can go bad overnight too... My turbo was fine when I installed it, a little persuasion with a kinked oil return line will definately cause them to ---- the bed fast though. God I wish I have a camera that night. I probably drove 5 miles to get the ---- home, leaving huge clouds of smoke behind me doen the highway and through the town

buy a restrictor valve and give it just enough oil to survive, but not enough to start smoking.

Usually if the turbo is burning oil it burns when you're not on the throttle because oil pressure is lower. When you get on it the oil pressure forces the oil through the turbo faster. Except in extreme cases like Tranceminister's I would say a little bit of smoke on acceleration is coming from your engine, not your turbo. How many miles on those rings?

use that restore oil additive in a silver can it works real good. put one in every time you change your oil.
