Re: Is this a T04E?
that contraption was pretty neat, until i looked at the price. also, i wonder what kind of clearances are around the saft, i could probably make one hmt style
wonder how my vitara d build would spool that big ass turbine housing on the t04e. i wonder how much just blocking off one scroll would restrict the nubers I have. lots of questions, people help out if you know what you are talking about |
Re: Is this a T04E?
i would defiantly try making that flange or somthing similar.

Re: Is this a T04E?
I have some reserve about this flange. How well this thin plate will seal after long period of time?
How well the shaft seal the hole? It can't be very tight if there is no lubrification... I doubt it can be use for a long period of time... I want to see the HMT style flange tho >:D |
Re: Is this a T04E?
that thing is neat and a great idea, but on a D methinks you just want to block off one hole for good and call it a day...

but then again, if the setup doesn't work well up top with the valve open, you can wire it shut |
Re: Is this a T04E?
for your deal yeah it would probably easier to do and call it a day. from what i can see with this flange though is that is is very similar to an exhaust brake on a diesel . ill see if i can stark moking up some concepts of this.

Re: Is this a T04E?
Back from the dead again....
This fucker is going on my FJT I beam/Vitara/ARP Head Stud build with one scroll blocked off. I'm poor, end of story. Next, it has a 4" v band outlet, I don't have ANY 4" sewer pipe to make an exhaust out of and bends are hella expensive. I have some 3" mandrel bends already and my question is: What is everyone's thoughts on using a 4" to 3" reducer right off the turbo so I can make my exhaust with the 3" I have. I don't see where it would hurt flow THAT much. Not that much backpressure I would imagine. Discuss. |
