The jetta vr6 block. not only is there block think but there rods are pretty hefty too. i would also bet most of the quality german made engines are pretty hefty. Like bmw, just lower compression add boost and i bet it would last forever also.

BMW can handles lots of boost, stock turbo M3 can handle about 600whp stock. D series is indestructible even at its limit, oh and nissan's ka24 can handle 300whp + with good/decent tunning (forged rodas and crank).
