Ok I have a problem.. my car idles liek ---- and dies at idle because my BOV opens when I am idling... my car makes round 25 in HG at idle... I have a 1g DSM BOV and a MAF sensor.... The problem is the MAF sensor is on the turbo intake pipe and the BOV is right next to the throttle body.

Are there any BOV that will stay closed at idle but still open up when i come out of boost into idle and that will fit on my 1G DSM flange or am I going to just have to suck it up and recirculate and lose that bueatiful sound?

 

hit the top of the bov with a hammer, it will crush the top in and put more preshure on the spring.

 

There is a one-way valve (from home depot, lowes, etc.) that you can attach to the front with a small piece of rubber hose. This will help your idle problem. I'll try to find the link of the site that explains it.

 

Here is an example using a Bosch BOV. This fix applies to all BOVs that may be slightly open during idle.

lol i didnt want to recirculate it was the onlyu problem.. just adds a lil more hot air to the cai for turbo...

anyhow this loews thing worked perfectr.. idles liike a champ now

wouldn't it work to just put the bov before the maf?
Gotta figure that if it's opening before the maf,it isn't reading any more or less than is really going through it.
