Re: Bought new t25 check it out.
That part number was used in both the Grand Am and Sunbird, but for the 2.0L engine, not the 3.1L V6.
465749-0001 is the part number for the 2.0L Grand Am/Sunbird T25.
465939-0002 is the part number for the 3.1L V6 Grand AM T25.
The one he has is the miniature one like the Sunbird. Not that it matters now since he's returning it.

Yeh its probably best to send her away..u'll have way more fun with this new turbo trust me !
Good luck with install , btw depending on what turbo you buy next...might as well run external wastegate and get it done with , depending on your budget.

It most likely is brand new, but it's certainly not ball bearing. It's a straight T25, not a T28, and good for roughly 200 flywheel horsepower. As another poster mentioned, it has odd oil inlets and outlets.
It does however, have the standard T25 outlet flange, so if you got a dump pipe for an SR20DET on ebay, it will bolt up to it.
They're a good deal considering they're brand new. I paid $180 each for my four brand new, and sold 3 of them for much more than that.
They're quite small, though.

Re: Bought new t25 check it out.
That particular one has a very small and restrictive exhaust turbine and housing. It can make more than 200 flywheel HP, but will be running significantly over the manufacturer's specs. Just because a turbo is physically capable of making 250hp if you weld the wastegate closed doesn't mean it should be doing that, nor does it mean that it will necessarily be long term reliable doing it.
The CA18DET came with a similarly sized stock T25, and the general concensus in the Nissan world is that the max output of one is in and around 180whp, which is in the ballpark for 200 flywheel horsepower.

Give this man a silver dollar!!! He knows his ----. It is a sunbird turbo and has a restrictive exhaust housing. However for auto cross or stoplight to stoplight this thing would be a blast!
