Default Bossting a 1st gen b16a1 jdm

hi guys i'm new here i usually post on tsr.com.
Anywhoo just wanna say hi to everyone.
Alright lets get down to business. I have a 90 crx cx with a 1st gen b16a1 jdm
dunno if jdm matters but i put it to make sure) in it.

Me and my freind are putting in a t3 turbo from a talon and i really just like to know what i need.
I have the turbo,IC,bov,wastegate.
I just need to know fuel managment, adaptor plate measurements and stuff that i need, basically just a rundown. if you guys could maybe list the stuff i would need it would b great!. Also with stock internals what is a safe psi to run max? and run with ease?
its low budget so i can't really go all out and i'm not planning to push more then 6-8 psi MAX.
anywhoo thanks alot guys i really appriciate it
peace

uhm, ok?

What year talon did you get the turbo off of? and was it a manual or auto? DSM's (talons/eclipses/lasers/galant) only came with T25's/14b's & Td04h's not T3's

The Td04 and T25 are to small for the B16a, the 14b may work, but I only have experience boosting D-series with the 14b, and its fairly large.

"I just need to know fuel managment, adaptor plate measurements and stuff that i need, basically just a rundown"

Well, you will need a custom manifold built for your turbo, nobody makes them as far as I know.

Fuel managment, their are tons of options here,
FMU
AFC/SMC/Fields Controller Hack w/ 450cc injectors
Zdyne Gold SECU
and many others

If you are going to run 8psi, I would go with the afc hack, or step up and buy the Zdyne gold secu.

yeah the turbo is in my garage but i'll take a look @the # after. from the top of my head it has an intergrated bov and wastegate, its really small, hope that helps. I hear hondata is good but its expensive. abaz thanks tho, u think u'd b able to tell me the stuff i need but 4 a low budget?
thanks man

Hey sleeping....

BTW i'm the friend who's helping with the build.

the turbos are actually not off of a Talon but a Volvo 700.

the Mitsu (TDO5-13b) is the one i'm leaning toward because its designed to give full boost at low rpm, not a true LPT but very close to it. also its smaller and will be able to fit easier into the space.

as Sleeping said, it comes with the integrated Wastegate and a CBV, not a BOV, and its efficient up to about 17 psi, which i'm sure its never going to see.

the Garrett T3 we have is a TBO3-63 and its a bigger turbo. its efficient up to 20 psi but wont give full boost until maybe anohter 500 rpm more than the Mitsu. also integrated wastegate, but the BOV is a separete piece.

our biggest concern is the fuel management....how to supply enough fuel for the boost we're gonna be running. i dont know Honda's and the engine limitations and all that....

thats where u ppl come in to help.

hehe....

aight, thx a lot.

It has been explained in this forum several times, just read through some of the posts.

But in a nutshell,
DSM Injectors 450cc or 380's
Using a Apexi Vafc/SAFC or any type of controller that will allow you to adjust your fuel pattern in (NEGITIVE) settings, this lets you turn the fuel pulse down so the car can run with a stock ecu, and incredibly huge injectors. This works great for street cars.
