best way to tune a low boost build is by an extra injector controller. you can keep your stock fuel system and ecm programming. the extra injector controller hooks up with three wires. power, ground and tps signal. the stock fuel system and ecm will run the engine flawlessy at non boosted rpm ranges and then the extra injector controller will add fuel under boost based on rpm and boost level. its easy to tune yourself and you can always retune it if/when you add more boost.

extra injector controller controls extra injectors outside of your stock fuel injection system. theres is no need to tune or change your stock fuel injection.

the extra injector controller can control up to 6-8 extra injectors so you can use 2 large injectors in your boost pipe before your throttle body or you can use one injector in each one of your intake runners for best performance.

in order for this system to work you will need to weld injector bungs into your boost pipe or intake manifold runners and run a fuel line to them. if you have a plastic intake then they sell screw in injector bungs for this purpose. for a little extra work its a great setup that is very reliable and you wont have to hack at your stock ecm. do a google search for additional injector controller. theres one on there for 200.00 + shipping and it can control up to 6 extra injectors.

I have retuned a few cars with both a Apexi SAFC 2 AND A AFC NEO. I had to splice into like 8 wires.(power, ground, acc, air meter wire, ecu tach wire, ect ect) and do a quick 8 to 16 point tune and the cars wre ready for some boost.. You can also get some larger injectors.

I alos use a wideband A/F ratio gauge to tune the piggyback fuel computer, and to make sure it never goes lean under boost.

They run like $300-$350. what ever is easier for you I guess.. The extra injector method works Really good, But I dont know how much it would cost to run a set up like that.. sounds kinda spendy.. They say you get what you pay for though..

theres plenty of people doing this including me. do a google search and there should be plenty of results. the two extra injectors at the throttle body will work good but to get best performance putting a fuel injector in each intake runner will be the best bet. doing this is not very expensive.
cheapest injector controller is 200.00
fuel injectors-100-150.00
fuel injector bosses-40.00
fuel rail and line-50.00

a custome tune starts at ~500.00 and goes up from there. any you have to pay that every time you change something. with the injector controller you can retune anytime yourself when changes are made.

Oh my...

Ok, for tuning Honda's it's really easy and fairly inexpensive to do it the right way. This would be to get an OBD2 to OBD1 conversion harness (approx. $50 or less) and get a chipped OBD1 p28 ecu ($100 or less). Install larger injectors (DSM's are popular and bolt right in) and install a 255lph fuel pump and aftermarket adjustable fuel pressure regulator. Stock fuel rail is fine.

It's as easy as that. Then you can have it tuned properly with crome or neptune.

In order for a turbo engine to make good reliable power, careful control over the AFR at all times under full boost and full load is most important. Adding extra injectors and what-not does work to an extent, but they are merely band-aid solutions that will not give you proper control over the AFR at all times.
