Default Boosting a GSR.

will stock internals hold up in the bottem end, head is pretty built with CTR cams, skunk 2 intake mani, jg valve springs and retainers, type r valves, ported, milled, and shaved head . i was looking at putting a t3 .60 trim on it and running 10 psi, 7-8 daily. any thoughts. motor was rebuilt and has new rings, i believe the rods and bearings where re-used. should i just save up and put 9:1 compression pistons in. if so what ones.

GSR turbo users please help out

a well tuned gs-r will handle alot more than what you're looking to toss at it.

Get a t3/t4, just a t3 will be way too small.

the head is built and ive talked with numerous people about it, they say that theres way to much compression and ill end up blowing it. i want to ru t3/t4 .60 trim turbo, should have been more specific in my first post.

your head will be fine, thats not the problem. what IS, is your compression, its pry higher since your head is shaved as well. id be carefull, and get a really good tune

If the compression scares you buy a Cometic headgasket as they make some nice thick ones to drop compression considerally.

you really need to be more selective about the people you talk to.

I'm guessing you probably have loads of overlap on your ctr cams. You can turbo anything and a good tune will help. But ultimately there are far better starting blocks then what you have currently.
