lovely welding! especially on that box at the top :-) got lsd? you'll be needing it! ;-)
you should ms it, much safer, and more power, lots of info on mx6.com about msing f2ts. and, you can do what gtkid22 did and just make an adapter between the two mani halves and you have the plenum facing the right way. like this : http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...1_110_full.jpg thats his setup. i think he disappeared though :-( theres another member called draggin88 with a couple of mazda utes, both msed and both pretty cool, one has the fe3 like mine, was itb, soon to be turbo. fred. |

Re: boost and carb????
What did you use for an oil fitting on the turbo? was it a standard 1/8NPT? the subaru RHB5 I have uses a banjo fitting with a goofy thread.

by goofy do you mean metric iso fine? thats what the holset uses too, infact, the holset is all metric despite being made in the states. switched on company cummins is. thats why one powers our boat. (hx40m boosted 8l C series). the ms v3 board is an example of imperial where metric should have been used. the to220 components have a metric hole in them, yet instead of using a metric hole in the board to match, the board has slightly smaller imperial holes... thus, you have to use the next size down metric plastic screws in them which work, but arent perfect....
got any videos of the ute in action? fred. |

Re: boosted mazda b2000 p/u now wit pics
By goofy I mean it's actually pretty coarse for the diameter (around 1/2"). I don't doubt it's metric. The thunderbird IHI I had that was shot, had an 1/8 NPT oil inlet on it.
