Boosted DA b18*updated w/pics*

Ok heres my setup:

stock b18 daily driver
cast manifold
turbonetics evolution wastegate
greddy type s bov
bead rolled intercooler piping polished
tbolt clamps
t3/t4 super h stage 2 .63
bar & plate front mount
-3an stainless oil line kit
1-5/8 oil return
chipped pr4 currently running uber
resistor box and 450s on their way

What do you think of it and how much power should I expect on a good tune if reliability is a factor?

Re: Boosted DA b18?

I don't know if telling us you have t-bolt clamps is necessary :P

BUT, it will really depend on the tune (as you say), so with a good tune it will be reliable, granted you're not really pushing the boost to unsafe levels.

As far as power goes... depends on the tune and how much boost. From similar setups, I've seen 8 psi on a stock b18 make about 225-250, but who knows... yours could suck balls ;)

Re: Boosted DA b18?

probly like 4 or 5 hundred

Re: Boosted DA b18?

i wanted more like 290 to the wheels with reliability and longevity....depending on the tune do you believe that it would be possible?

doable, expect to be pushing 13-14psi to ge there though.

The last LS I tuned is sitting around 265-270whp at 12psi.

I don't think so. It's a matter of how efficiently the head will be able to take and and get rid of the air. The stock non-vtec b18b (like I have too) has to get a lot of air before you get up to the 300 hp mark. In this case, it doesn't seem to be an issue with the turbo.

Who was it, Kevin, Xenocron, or someone not TOO TOO long ago made like 299whp on a stock LS. Remember that? I don't remember the psi or turbo or anything just a dyno graph with 299whp and people making fun for being subpar 300whp. ::) LOL.

Actually, he did make 300 wheel hp.

Dude, since your intercooler piping is polished, you'll probably make at least 300 whp.

Who gives a ---- about half the stuff you posted. How about you dyno the car, then tell us what you make ::)

1-5/8 return line. What did you use a ------- radiator hose?

You are gonna max out that type-S bov at around 207whp. You will need to step up to the RS for more powar.
