Oil and coolant in the exhaust = head gasket.

Sure, other stuff could do it (not ringlands, wtf?) but I strongly doubt that you'd crack a cylinder wall and have it maintain for any length of time.

Q Are Race Series composite gaskets suitable for Turbo engines?

A Race Series Composite Gaskets are designed for engines with moderate increases in compression ratio and
output compared to standard engines. They are not, however, designed for use in forced induction engines
(surepcharged or turbocharged)

ordered 1.1mm copper headgaskets
replacing new oil + oil filter

and ill be back in the land of the boost..just gotta rip other engine head off, turbo off, manifolds off, this time running my 2 bar map sensor + tune..

You have a tune?? I thought the consensus was that you didn't. :(

yeah i do have a tune, but unfountually by the time i got my 2 bar map sensor working it was too late for the headgasket, its ok ACL copper ones arrive tommorrow, cars prepped and ready for gaskets

How do you tune a car with a blown headgasket?

What AFR did you tune for, how much timing are you running?

Re: Boosted Buick - Not idling right

the lack of 2 bar caused blown headgasket!
it leaned out and detonated

i get my 560cc injectors soon, then it should have no fuel issues up to 30psi :P

I guess you got lucky then, def. tune that up with a wideband. That thing must be a blast to drive, its rwd right? what kind of transmission is in it?

i think this is a lesson in the principle that old cars need some TLC before you just slap a turbo on em.

gl though cause those are some pretty stout engines (at least back in the day) to bad GM axed them (heaven forbid something makes more power then the almighty 350

hmm ford did the same thing with the mustang svo...

hmmmm, i wonder why i drive imports?
