Default Boost spike with MBC???

Would a MBC (turboxs or turbosmart maybe) allow me to safely raize boost? A lot of people say they spike. i want to run 10-12 psi, and the last thing my engine needs is a boostspike. Or am i just worrying too much? For all the noob bashers, yes, i've used the search button, and google, and red some reviews. But people seem to say different things. I know EBC is great in controlling the boostspike, but its not for my pocket. So guys please let me know what you think

i had a homemade boost controller. it wouldnt have boostspike if the vacuum lines were short. the longer they were, the worse it got

that's what im useing right now

about the turboXS mbc, they work fine, i had one on my talon for a long time, it was a dual stage and i had it set at 15 and 21 psi and it held great with no spikeing

i dont see anything wrong with a mbc though i have yet to get one (lazy) plenty of my friends have em without problems. EBC are too damn exspensive!

I highly recommend the hallman bc! I made one of those mbc from c-speedracing and also one with the bleed valve, both of them have crazy boost spike..so I decided to go with the hallman bc and couldnt be happier.

I'm using a Turbosmart MBC and it spikes 2 lbs. Go with an EBC.

The trend i've noticed with mbc's is the higher the psi, the more spike you get out of it. Of course, this is also true about alot of "higher end" ebc's as well, just not as high a spike.
