boost spike, limp mode question
ok, t25 running 7.5 psi, I want to run 10. I have an adjustable wg arm and a manual boost controller. I was screwing with my MBC only doing 1/4 turns then testing it out, and like with a 1/4 turn It was spiking to like 11-12psi in second and third gear, not first, so I would turn it back and then it would only boost to 7.5 again in a ll gears, should I just try to adjust it with my adj. wg arm? Also, I don't have a missing link or check valves b/c I can't get one of the screws off that holds the MAP sensor, so if I spike to 11-12 psi the engine just cuts off for a second until I let off the gas, (limp mode??) is limp mode kinda a safety thing, or a bad thing? If I put check valves in, then my engine might over boost and creat problems, but without check valves, it keeps it from over boosting...right?? I'm asking, not telling.

Re:boost spike, limp mode question
are you using a vafc? If you are you don't need a check valve. What you can do is either adjust the wastegate arm like you said, or you can open up the mbc and cut a coil off of the spring. It should give you more adjustability.
