Default Boost probs...

Ok guys when i hit around 7psi the car starts to miss and stumble and wont pull anymore... im running an msd btm at .5 degrees/lb, safc w/450s (-33% high throttle across the board) in my turbo accord... im thinking i have an ignition prob... i do have a large accel coil... maybe thats my prob??

ahhh now i was drivin down the street boosting like 6-7 psi and it just dies and refuses to restart... so i had my dad help me tow her home... i think i might needs to get another distributor or somthing...

keep in mind you will want to gap them to like .28 or .30...stock .44 is just not right for boost.

A couple days ago I read some where that the MSD BTM should not be set less than .6 degrees per LP. Change the setting to 1 degree per LB and see what happen. The timing might be too advanced. I don't have a MSD so I retarded mine from 16 to 8 degrees. I hope this help. Good luck!

Advanced timing wouldn't do that...too retarded timing would.
And i ran the hack without any BTM..it ran great and .5 seems fine...1 degree per boost is too much in my book.

that's weird man, I know you told me that your STILL having problems with the car. I hope it work's out for you and it runs for a possible track day tomorrow. If you need any help with her call your homeboy's! We're alwayse willing to help ya out
