I just finished installign my turbonetics(drag) kit. I bought it used and there are 2 vac lines not hooked up because i dont know where they go. and i have a horrobal (lag/hole)when i hit the gas... you hear the turbo spool way up and the car bogs down.. then if you let off the gas a little it will then excelerate with only 4psi. will these vac lines cause that?
the lines i dont know where to put are:
1. On the top,center of the Waste gate
2. On the right hand side of the waste gate
3. on the compresor side of the turbo housing

so any sudjestions?

I have an idea of what your saying tho

 

1.The top center of the wastegate vents. If you have a boost controller it would go ther.
2.The side of it goes to the intake manifold.
3.Plug the compressor hole.
if you cant do 2,3 then:
Run a line from the compressor hole to the side of the wastegate.

 

Cool i will try that out now... I had a friend that put the
vent to a hose to the nipple on the turbo housing...

but i have been having big problems maby this will fix it
so the top middle is a vent..cool i dont havr to worry abotu ---- getting sucked up in there then.

 

Yea go from the side of the WG to the turbo or to the IM and plug the one on the turbo. 98ctr

 

OK i fixed the vac line problems and its like a whole new car... lots of power..... now i get a loud (sounds like an exaust hole) when i boost 7psi at mid and high rpm.... i thought might be detonation... but my A/f gauge says its rich...

 

lol....If you read the FAQ or did a little bit of research on how the turbo system works you would have seen the problem from the beginning.
Detonation sound like marbles in the engine.
