Off Topic of boost I thought the new M3's had like over 300HP and were fast as *****. I got to drive one at the old dealership I was a tech. at and those things halled ***** but also I'm used to driving my ZC EF. Man I can't wait to put my turbo on. Also was that a launch controller he had or was he just bouncing off the rev. limiter ?

Like someone else said, the compressor maps will tell you a little story about the difference from one turbo to the other.

I think he had some sort of launch control. Probably an MSD or similar. I don't think he was bouncing off the rev limiter. If he was he is a dumbass and that probably had something to do with his busted *** motor.

i thought effiancy had to do with the exhuast side of the turbo, like having a smaller turbo mean a smalled exaust wheel and the smaller exhuast wheel meant less power becuase it chokes it, so for example i thought if you have a T3 for example that has a really small exhaust wheel so for ever 20hp the turbo makes you lose lets say 10hp and then with the big turbos you have a bigger exaust wheel so it takes longer to spool up becaue of the bigger wheel but you get more power per PSI then a smaller turbo because the exhuast gases are less restricted, i think that makes the most sense.
