Re: Boost Gauge placement

Most splice and "T" the FPR or cruise control line and run their boost gauge from that.

if you put your boost gaue on teh turbo, you wont see vaccum....either block this spot off or use it for the wastegate.

see this pictue?

http://superstreetonline.com/howto/p...mage_small.jpg

that huge metal thing on the bottom left is the intake mani.... run the tbar off there, having the bottom of the tee head off through your firewall to your boost gauge. the other side of the tee runs to your FPR on the fuel rail - this is right under the guy in the picture's left index finger.

got it? :D

Use the fpr line. If you tap into the turbo you will only see the boost your turbo sees, not the boost your engine is seeing. Your engine actually sees less boost than your turbo due to the pressure drop in the intercooler, charge pipes, etc.

ohhh...you have oine of those dual oulet fittings on your compressor housing? Rip that fcuker out of there and put a normal single tip one in. I dont think you'll be able to find a cap for the end of that.

vac straight off the compressor wont account for the pressure drops across the IC.
