I've been having a boost leak/.....is what I thought,
I have only been boosting 2psi for the past 4 days,
today I hooked my boost gauge up to the vaccum nipple on the compressor

the highest I got to was 3psi in 4th gear @ WOT,
2nd,3rd gear only went to 2...2.5psi

anyone know whats up?

I have a td04h 13c / external wastegate /
I tried blocking the WG's dumptube & the same problem...
I have no mani leak or I would here it,
I have disconnected the WG from the turbo

any ideas??

I have tried everything,,,

the boost gauge to the turbo should show all of the boost,
boost leaks afterwards would not matter!!!

& actually its pretty embarrassing to only have 2psi,

 

do what he said check for leaks with soap and water check couplers for pin holes ect.. is it internal wastegate or external?

 

 

 

do you have a 3psi spring in it?? that could be the problem

srry I didnt post up my exhaust & spring...

I have a 3.63 psi spring in it, ( But I have the WG disconnected &/or a boost controller turned all the way up)

I also have a 2 1/4 downpipe & 2" exhaust

I get a tad bit over 3psi when my boost gauge was reading from the turbo,
WG was disconnected

but that sounds right...
the springs at 3.63psi & I was just getting a little over 3psi,,,but the WG was not connected to anything,
when I shifted the gauge jumped up to 5psi & went back down...

 

You said you shifted the gauage and it changed to 5 psi. is the line kinked or is your guage broken. hook it up to a tire inflator.
