Default was boost creep, not barely spooling

Ok, so I was experiencing boost creep because the flapper on my wastegate (14b) wasn't opening enough. I cleared out enough room for it to open fully and welded a new bracket to the actuator because it wouldn't fit the way it was. (I had to rotate the comp. housing about 180 degrees) Now, when I went on a test drive, I would hit about 5 psi around 4-5K rpms, which I know is not normal. There's no exhaust leaks because I had fixed that problem earlier. Any ideas? Should I try to squeeze/fit the wastegate actuator on without using some bracket?

So you think it'd be a problem that the bracket is kind of at a 90 degree angle to the flapper as well? lol I should have known not to use DSM parts.

Wow! It was off by a cm or two if that, and my dad and I fixed it. Now it hits full boost around 4K rpms or so, which I figure is pretty normal (14b on a 2.0L engine with a not-so efficient manifold) and it stops boosting at about 10pis, which is right where I want it. Thanks for the help, I appreciate it tons.
