Default boost creep

Anyone ever experience any boost creep with 3" exhaust?

Not sure if it will help, but mine crept up over 4 extra psi with the exhaust off.

its more to do with the wastegate hole not being big enough, not your exhaust piping size.

also with an external wastegate the placement of it can affect boost creep also.

A buddy of mine has a 1st gen eclipse and when he upgraded his exhaust to 3" from the stock he started getting some boost creep. Since I am using the same turbo that he is with the internal wastegate I thought I might experience the same.

all that means is the wastegate can't keep up with the extra flow from the larger pipe. make sure its a smooth transition from the wastegate to the exhaust stream.
OR
set the waste gate a little lower to compensate. but you might lose some low end boost doing that.

I plan on doing that when I'm ready to get a better turbo manifold. For the hf/adapter plate special I'm not going to mess with it, especially since this 14b is in good shape.

you loose back pressure to the turbo when you go biggar, and in turn it screws up the flow for the internal wastegate and gives boost creep.
