So to get this straight, You can be crusing down the road, at your daily driving psi like 10 psi, Then someone wants to race, and all ya have to do is change the option to whatever u have it set at like 15 and like that ur boostin 15 psi?? If so thats sweet. Isnt the profesor B or soemthing like that do the same
all you are doing is hiding boost from the wastegate so it opens later. the wg will always open at a set limit set by the spring in it. so what you do is just let the wg see a portion of the boost your running.
basically you could put a $2 needle valve (or paper clip or something lol) on the wastegate vac line and thats a boost controller.
i got a controller with a solonoid in it though b/c it will help spoolup time by not letting the wastegate see any boost until the point you set the controller at.
however im gonna go 2 stage by having a solenoid that i can use to make it so i can basically turn my boost controller on and off.
sure i wont get the benefit of the faster spool time in first and second when not using the boost controller (i could buy another solenoid boost controller to fix that but i dont want to) but i dont think this will be a problem b/c turbo b18c crx will have plenty of hp in first and second that i will be at my traction limit on street tires. and it would be easy as hell to just plug one in later if it does really make a big difference.

I had mine set at 6 psi. And when i would race i would just push the button and i'll be at 10 psi for setting b.
theres directions on how to build a 2 and maybe a 3 stage boost controller (pretty cheap but its been tested and proved eeffcetive) on this website www.thedodgegarage.com
the guys on that site have soem damn good ideas.
