Well.... James (at BMC) is young... and I do personally know that he is sorry for what he said. Diahreah of the mouth if you will.
He takes a lot of pride in his work. It pissed him off for someone to say he rips off other peoples designs on his manifolds. I go to the shop at least once a week, and I know for a fact he has NEVER purchased someones manifold to "copy" it. There are only so many ways to make an exhaust manifold period( especially for a turbo Honda) as lack of space dictates in each application. As far as "trends" go, with top mount turbos etc... any business minded individual would jump on the band wagon, as long as it would be feasible, and not compromise quality.

BMC did donate $20 to the HMT thread today. I owed him $20, and he told me to donate it to the forum. I also donated $20. People will continue to buy BMC products for two reasons: #1 Quality. #2 Price. He is one hell of a welder... but not a PR man. A likeable guy, yes, but not the ambassador to Sweden.

You could put anything in your avatar that you wanted.... and they will continue to sell products, and people will be happy with them.

Everyone will forget the "oops".

I totally agree.BMC does some quality work.I just got an adapter plate and downpipe plate for a ihi rhb5 and they were really nice.I also got a log mani for my integra and that thing was impressive.I also ordered a down pipe flange for my t3.
good quality fast shipping and cheap prices is just something you cant beat

True dat....

you know that kid is so busy.... he hasn't even finished his car yet? Having to drive the smoking hatch (shop car)
Been in the works for months. B18 Integ swap in a CRX SI. Finally got it running, just no sticker. Sweet *** set up. No turbo yet... in the works as soon as he gets time. Hella fast n-e way though. Has engine mounted straight up so the axles are perp to the ground. Looks weird poking up through the hood.

I'm not saying it has been driven on the street with no tags or anything.....

I am trying to work a deal where the HMT logo comes free of charge on adapters ect..... It may happen. I would like mine to say "HMT Ghetto Edition".

met james and one hell of a young kid with lots of experience in welding. was at the shop 2 days ago and very impressed with the ideas he comes up with. going to school and still manage to due custom work on honda's is very impressive. i mentioned to what actually happen and he stated that he was sorry and would take it back. the guy is a hell of welder and has very good ideas about honda's. image he would dedicate himself 24/7 would produce lots of work.
