I may be building a gokart in the future for my little brother(ok and me) i want to use a v twin I think that would be a awsome go cart babumpbumpbumpbumpbump hot rod style.

Re:Blown Gokart... OH Yea
I think that the smog pump on Adam's go kart would be the ----. I'm gonna hook one up at my work to the alternator tester and see if it forces alot of air out. The worlds first smog pump blown kart. NICE!!!!! :-*

Re:Blown Gokart... OH Yea
already tested the smog pump on the lathe at full speed, it was pretty decent, maybe 1-2 psi.. enough for a go cart and no engine managment ;)

Re:Blown Gokart... OH Yea
That sounds swell! I bet that we could get some more air into that carb. Smaller pulley = more power. ;D

Re:Blown Gokart... OH Yea
Its a cadillac pump with a ford range pulley.

Re:Blown Gokart... OH Yea
Sounds like a Ted Pearson setup. He likes the caddy motors and the ford rangers.

Re:Blown Gokart... OH Yea
i just recently picked up a beat gocart for 25 bucks. it had a five horse briggs but i am in love with 2 stroke power. i had a 86 kx500 sittin in my garage and a cart that didnt run. needless to say the 500 motor is on the cart. no idea what it tops out at. im too scared to find out. the frame needed some serious gussets and reinforcement but that thing rips. grabbing gears in a go cart is supreme.

Re:Blown Gokart... OH Yea
I dunno, a turbo go-kart would be cool, but I dunno if it could beat this one in the cool-factor:

Re:Blown Gokart... OH Yea
yeah that guy is now using an exhaust turbine to generate power. but i dont see how that litlte shaft is going to hold up with driving a cart! i know hes geared it to 72000rpm to 6000 rpm but there will tremendous force on that little spline!. 12 times the torque. how much torque does a turbo really have
