hey when you buy a new or used blow off valve, its suppost to work... not mine... mine sound like if you would just make the blow off noise yourself thats how loud it is.... I'm boosting 6lbs. though.... got a HKS SSQ BOV.... got some answers love to hear them... and already tried adjusting the bolt and the spring inside....

 

low boost isnt gonna make a huge noise man.

 

at six pounds those things are still loud as ----. If a 300z boosting 7 pounds can be heard from at least an 1/8 mile away, then your six should be loud too. Its probably your vaccum line, might be pinched....where is it connected?

does CFM increase when RPM increases?

if so, let's say that if RPM increases, which would mean that the CFM increases, it could cause a faulty BOV to open and leak out pressure. how much pressure are we talking about? maybe one or two psi? or could you lose more depending on how bad the BOV is damaged?

i've contacted Turbonetics and they have told me that a turbo car such as a Suburu WRX and a car like mine(installed the turbo in my car, not already in my car)... the wrx is more likely to be louder with a aftermarket B.O.V. then mine... its been proven... by a buddy of mine....

 

as long as u dont get turbo surge thats all that matters
