block gaurds are worthless compared to a filled block, it supports the wrong part of the block where the liquid aluminum supports more. there is a thread on this stickied in the tech forum

If you cant afford the 895 for a sleeved block then save your money and get a good tune on stock sleeves.

If done properly block filler works. It is, however, no replacement for a sleeved block. Block filler and block posting have been cheap alternatives for years.

yet stock sleeve records are made without any block filling on almost every series of honda motor

The verdict on Josh Coleman's motor was a bad tank of gas. It had been raped on for a few thousand miles with no problems, he filled it up and it immediately ---- the bed with extensive cracking of the sleeves.

i filled mine a while ago.. but not too sure if i want to crack it back open to make the coolant holes bigger...not trying to buy another head gasket..im sure it will be fine on 12 psi+ a xenocron tune...just have to get it done

Jesus, relax, I thought that I had read that it was his own tune that made it ---- the bed, I am not the type to spout off bullshit in topics that I have no business talking about. I guess I should have waded through the 5+ pages again, its just too painful. :P
