block guard
 

I am building a D16Y8 motor. I want to put in a block guard, but I have things about them, like not cooling the top of the cylinder. Anyone have Ideals?

blockguards are the bigget POS. use block posting. its FAR better.

Dear god, please don't use a blockguard!!!!!!!!

They are ------- worthless pieces of ----. They are just as worthless as neon lights and windsahield washer squirter lights. The only difference is the blockguard will ---- your motor up while the queer lights will ---- your cool factor up.

I posted a while back my experiences with a blockguard. If you like working on your motor and don't mind overheating problems and have a huge pile of caSh that is getting too big to fit in your house, than go ahead and get a blockguard, but don't say I didn't warn you.

I think the companies who advertises them to alow maximum cooling should refund our money, for the blockguard, complete head gasket set, and labour, PIECE OF ----! >:(

Sounds like you have the same problems as me. We should sue the hell out of them. I have tore my head of three times now and right this moment my head is off awaiting a new gasket. I had to turn my timer off because if it sat there too long it would overheat like a mo fo. >:( I even drilled the blockguard as far as I could to allow more coolant. Those holes are as big as they can be and it still overheats. >:(

I guess you aren't going to listen to us and you are going to go ahead and ---- your motor up? Good luck and have fun changing head haskets. You will learn to do it in less than an hour after a while. ::)
