alright guys to many people who know better then i do are telling me its a bad location so i went ahead and moved it.

 

thats a good spot, gets good air. buut like i said for the reason of them being useless, now its gonna get kinida heatsoaked since its basically next to the turbo n manifold. better location tho. it'll still get sorta wet while driving in rain but so will everything else.

 

ill take a pic later i made a heat sheild for it, had some sheet metal laying around

 

That accordian tube thing isn't entirely nescessary unless you need it to get the filter to fit on the turbo. You might notice a little bit faster spool up or louder spool up if you just put the filter directly on the turbo.

 

here is the shield i fabbed up, works great the filter is barly even warm after running the car for a while, and my old motorcycle filter that was right off the turbo, had actually burned my knuckle before.
