i have heard arguments for both heads...
the compression argument is gay though...aint much of ---- and shouldnt have a bearing on your decision...
this is what i came up with in my research (and others have agreed): run the one you get for free or close to that as possible...
on that note i have owned many heads and will be running a P72 head... got it for mad cheap, then bought an intake manifold for it already. so its the one im gonna use.

if you wanna to "oversize" the valves.. i will just do to exhaust (depending what setup yes).. in a boosted engine (honda).. the problem you have with valves is that them are made for NA setup.. so if you boost it the exhaust valves will have more problems than intake valves...
WTF? ive seen a ------- GSR turbo all stock makin +400 WHP...

thanks for all info....all will be helpful in decision making...its just that i got a pr3 head but could trade straight across for a p72...thats why i havent decided what to do ....

Re: better head for boost...?Noob Q.
the type r intake valves are lighter, and the spring rates of the intake springs are different to match the weight of the valves. Also the exhaust springs are double wound where they are single wound on a b16.
