The greddy type-s sounds like a *** fart with almost no sound. The RS on the other has nice and loud and looks better to boot.

no matter how fast you shift, unless you don't take your foot off the throttle while shifting, a bov does help performance. your engine reacts a little bit fasther than your hand/foot coordination

Lol, you mean you actually take your foot off the gas when racing? I'll never go below 3/4 throttle. When I take people for rides who don't know anything sometimes asks why my BOV doesn't work and I have to explain to them that when racing it doesn't have a chance to open. I've heard sound clips of the 1g dsm, but mine sounds nothing like them.. Like someone said above, it should sound like a sneeze. However, mine is a more high pitched sound, kind of like the SSQV. Anyone know why it does this?

And on topic: a buddy of mine has the type-s on his civic and I love it. I also like the SSQV which another friend has on his RX7. They're both really nice BOV's. I would opt for the Greddy though.

it really depends on how much boost you're running with them. Like Projekteg said, his leaked at higher boost levels. My friend is at 12psi and it's held up perfect.

And for the guy who said it sounded like a fat guy fart, the type s is adjustable. If you tighten it up a bit, it gets better sounding and higher pitched.

i got a ford probe / Mazda 626 GT BOV..
its ok.. im running only 8psi non intercooled

its simie loud SHSHSHSH sound.
then i decied to have fun and taped a Zoom whistle in it and that was funny sounding then it blew off and i ran over the whistle..
hehehehhe.
problem is the tube its connected to is plastic and the BOV is plastic, so i have to replace it with metal charge pipes
