Default Been a while, got a new setup...

Hey guys, been a while since I posted. I went through some crap with my civic (got impounded *don't drive with suspended d/l*, dad remote started it into a lake, then i sold it). But the good news is that I did succeed in a HMT setup on my y8 motor. It boosted really good for the amount of money I spent. Now I just sold the kit and bought my new CRX project car with the money.

I got some questions on the setup I plan to run. Maybe someone has had a similar setup and can help me out. My motor is a d15b7 bottom, pm5 head, and b7 intake manifold with mpfi conversion. I'll be using another Volvo T-3, Ported STD manifold, custom adapter plate, and some sort of FMIC. I'll also get around to installing a MSD system sometime soon. I would like to give it enough boost to break 200 horses.

Question 1: Will a bigger fuel pump and FMU provide enough fuel for 200 hp?

Question 2: Everyone says D-series rods can take about 220 hp...my question is will the rods be the first thing to break, or are there other parts that will break at 200 or whatever? I'm sure this depends on a broad range of factors, but generally speaking, what should I worry about?

Question 3: I know there's no definate answer, but about how much boost will it take to get about 200 horsepower out of the motor?

I'll have the car dyno'd after I get it all put together, but for right now I'm only planning on running about 5 PSI. NOPI is coming my way in two months, and a number of people have doubted me on my new setup being done. They all doubted me last time though LOL.

I'll post some pics of everything as soon as I get a chance to bust out the digital camera.

yes, a bigger fuel pump would be a good idea. but not nessesary, unless you use an FMU. get an inline pump. if you get it tuned well, i wouldnt worry about breaking anything, i would only worry about making 200hp. i'd ditch the fmu and use a modified pm6 with turboedit and 450cc injectors.

1) bigger fuel pump will be better .. for an fmu.

2)
Rods will break first .... 220 is alot to expect from small rods. (tuning and fuel mangment will also have an effect)

3) 10psi should see about 200hp ..

Thank you guys, so much. I really appreciate the help and input. I think I may end up trying the pm6/450's if I can get ahold of some injectors. They're pretty hard to find around here. I guess I'll hit up ebay.
