how would one explain turbos with coolant AND oil passages then? I mean coolant is obviously there to cool the urbo down some (more) so it would stand to reason that the oil is there for...well, lubrication...

oil and water(coolant) cooled turbos are fine.

the oil runs through to cool and lubricate.
the water just helps dissapate the temperature charge.
