Default Back from the track, dissappointmet!

Well I just got back and I had a dissppointing night! 14.3's most of the time. The car should be faster then this.
These are faily clean runs, good traction( a little spin but nothing bad).
I can't get it faster. I'm hitting anywheres from 93-97mph and 2.1-2.3 60's.
my best is a 14.009. I wanted 13s tonight and running 11psi but my Boost contoller was all over the board.

Yet a 8psi I should still be doing better. I got good compression(180ish),8.5psi, 14b, good spool, turbo seals are a smokey. 3" exhuast.

Whats going on. Could throwing a little more timing at it help a bit? I run about 11.2-11.7afr all through boost. I've never tuned my timing. I just set it to what people say is "SAFE". DOes anyone have a DOHC ZC map that has a good timming map in it? Or will any SOHC map with the same base timing be alright? I just want something to compare to.

Any insight. The is plans for a full build up but I'm wanting a little more for the rest of the season.

What kind of power are you putting down right now?

The ZC 'likes' timing because of its big combustion chambers. So you might get away with more, though what is your setup now?
Check Xenocron's bin reservoire on his website, there should be a ZC tune there (OBD0).

12.5 is a bit lean. i would keep at 11.5-12. your traps are really low for the setup. something has got to be wrong

boost leak somewhere maybe? I don't know ---- about tuning, but from what these guys say it sounds like you could be losing some power.

Not a leak. I redid all my charge piping 2 days befroe. It holds a steady 8.3psi (known by datalogging).

I got a boost controller working, I'm now at 10.5psi, but I have to perfect it a little as I can get 15psi spikes in 2nd gear.

ZC's do love timing, whats your map look like?

I ran a 13.5 on DR's with 8psi on a stock zc.
