Default b20vtec turbo exhaust size

Set up: b20vtec, T3/t4 .60 A/R

So, i'm going for a tune now that i've put everything together and fixed my oil leaks.

Now, I currently have a Magnaflow 2.25' exhaust on the car and would preferably like to tune with that, but the question is whether its going to be detrimental to my set up? too restrictive?EGTs? How will the current exhaust affect my set up?

I was hoping to achieve 230-250whp and the car is daily driven.

TIA

high comp like b20vtec love small dia exhaust

the goal your aiming for 2.25 should be perfect, your going to get a balance of good torque plus hp anything bigger and you would start trading the torque for power.

whatr ever you are smoking I want some. on a turbo car you have all the back pressure you want because the turbo is fed by the exhaust. I would upgrade to atleast 2.5" because once its starts to get its ---- togehter iits gonna want to flow some air. what size downpipe do you have? you can make a 2.5" exhaust that is super quiet. for your power goals i donnt see 2.25 as a problem however if you were to really romp on it you would pry get a nice glowing manifold and downpipe because it just cant flow enough. on my 2.0L mind you my setup is a bit more extreme I have a 3.75" downpipe and 3.5" exhaust

he does not need anything bigger than 2.25 for that power goal he set, no ---- the turbo is powered by the exhaust but a high comp engine's impulses have diff exhaust dynamics than a low comp.

I can make my NA 2.0L teg header glow if i romp on it...

umm idk if you have ever seen a b series comp calculator but a b20 has less compression when paired with a b16 head than a gsr or a b16 from the factory. and if your header is glowing on your na car you need to take a look at what your doing wrong because that is caused by timing being to retarded and the flame is getting shot out of the exhaust port before it has enough time to burn.

I just LOLed my pants, please quote me where im trying to compare the compressions from those heads... other than stating that his "b20vtec" has his comp.

first of all tuning has nothing to do with exhaust size you ------- idiot you wine like a ------- baby everytime someone tells you you are wrong. turbos do not like back pressure at all if it were up to the turbo there would be no exhaust at all. on on a turbo b20 i would no less than a 2.5 turbo back exhaust. do you know why? becuase i know that with a turbo and a decent muffler the exhaust will not be loud at all. so stop crying and get over the fact that your not some badass we all kneel to
