Hi i am the proud owner of a 98 b18c1 in a 93 civic coupe. and i am about to buy a t3 t4 turbo, i already got a manifold, and am planing on buying a dsm smic, ebay 2.5" frount mount air intake kit( and pepboys extra section of pipe) a vafc and 450 cc injectors. now there are a few things i need to verifie by somebody that has some expereince with a big dohc vtec like this. 1)will i need a walbro 255 fuel pump (i am only going 8 psi for now) 2) is .70 ar intake and .48 exhaust a good enough size for my engine( yes i have heard .48 exhaust is a lil small for a b18c1 but i am looking for super fast spool and not much psi drop) i have heard the .48 exhaust will only start to drop after 8500rpm or so i will be shifting at 8000 rpm for now, and 3rd BmC Racing is my buddy so i get hookd up great with him (hehe) (he is going to make a custom block gaurd for me that he will machine in a perfect pocket for it and make the block gaurd him self) well thank all yall for yalls info i highly apreciate it later

i could be wrong but isn't a .70 intake too big and what are you planning on doing with the 2.5 front mount intake you know you can't use it as a fmic right

 

that'll be a great turbo for that motor if it's done right. and i think he meant intercooler not intake, but i could be wrong and he could be an idiot

 

i'm almost positive he means intake. cuz he said he already has a dsm smic. i don't get it, why would you want a front mount intake to make your car look turbo when it already is just let the turbo speak for itself. oh and its just me but i wouldn't use the smic i would get a tyrus or some decent fmic especially with that engine.

 

.70 intake ar is kinda high i think but dont take my word for it I got the same motor but i think a . 60 a/r is better?

 

i am going to use a dsm smic temporarily.... yes i said ebay front mount air intake (i meant the piping only) i will use that and then just replace that crappy filter with a big nice intercooler adn then all you need is like 1 u bend a 3 feet or so of strait piping and you got yourself a really nice pipe setup.... i will be getting a tyrus intercooler when i get the money... hope that clears things up, ps what yall think of the turbo?? good deal or what?? rember i am only using the piping off the intake( and replacing the filter with the intercooler) later 1 more thing, the reason why i am using crappy intercooler temporarily is cause i am only 16 and i have to pay for all my stuff on my own and i dont have the money yet for a nice intercooler... i mean i only get 150 dollars a week where i work and 100 of those goes to car payments and stuff.... hope that clears stuff up

 

what size is the tubing on one of those front mount intakes? that is a decent idea, if the diameter is like 2.5"
