if your concerned with blowing your motor, turbo is not for you, get a nice cold air intook and a 4-1 chrome racing headers

16g is still tiny, my friend had one on his galant vr-4 stick to a t3 series turbo. you could pick up a t3 60/63 for relatively cheap lots of places and that would be a good compromise for you

you're kidding, right? Because I want to err on the safe side, it's not for me? Get real.

My budget for the turbo, I'm honsetly not sure. Of course, I'm a college student in the Army, so I'm not makin a ton of cash; that's why the T3 appealed to me so much.

You can go with the
T3 Super 60

Its good enuff. Johnny made good power on a LS.
Maybe buy a bigger housing for it.

if you're on a budget then I wouldn't go smaller than a 63/60 t3. If you're patient you can pick up one a under 200.

hmm..see the thing is I hate to say that I'm on a budget, but I am. 200 sounds about right. 63/60 T3? Where can I obtain one?

haha dude your the one that needs to get real. do some pokin around and see what everyone runs successfully and making really good power. you need a turbo with a 63 exhaust housing. otherwise the turbo will fall flat on its face at 8000 plus rpms. guys make 240 plus on t3 60/63 turbos and the spool is pretty descent. my best friend ran one on his b16a and it spooled at 4500 rpms and pulled to redline. now if you want some serious power look for a precision sc34 or a t3/t04e 60/63 54 or 57 trim.

spool will be a tad later but it hits like a ton of bricks. also the more cfm your turbo pushes the less boost is necessary to make the desired hp goals. it would take a t360/63 12 psi to make what my sc61 will make on like 7 or 8 psi.. its al relavent

get an 18G turbo, think they cost a tad bit more then T3/T4 but as far as i know they pull pretty good, that is the turbo that comes in greddy GSR kit i raced this one bitch that had a turbo GSR hatchback and ---- that thing was fast... and i am sure you can run more boost no problem, i've been running 10psi on a stock D16Z6 for about 6 months with no problem

Re:B18C1+low boost

a 14b on a b18c1 is a ------- joke. i have a t3/t04e on my d16a6. it has a 50 trim with a 48 exhaust. if you want to have any success with making some good power, get a t3.t04e with a 57trim and a 63ar exhuast. youll be happy with that. my t3/t4 spools at 3500 on my d16 and full boost by 4300 so the gsr will like that big t3 t4
