my friend and i are going to turbo his car, and he was wondering exactly what turbo to use on it? dont just say t3/t4 because they are very diverse. He was wondering if a t3 super 60(a real one) would work good for his engine.but i was thinking a t3t4 .63 ar exhaust housing with stage 3 turbine wheel, and .60 ar intake housing with a 60-1 intake would work for him. he wonts the turbo to spool up super fast, and doesnt wont to spend a whole lot of money on it. he likes the super 60 because it is almost the same thing is the t3t4 i just mentioned, and because he can pick one up BRAND NEW for 355 plus 20 dollar shipping and have a 90 day warranty. the t3t4 turbo i mentioned will cost him 700$ with a zero day warranty. ne info yall can dish out would be a great help. (rember t3 super 60s are used on ls engines almost all the time and are said to never loose boost with this engine, the only difference with ls and gsr is vtec and an extra 1000rpm redline.)

I hope the $300 warrantied turbo isn't the ones comming off of Ebay. I saw a T70 on there supposedly ball bearing for $700. SSautocrap goes by many names...

Why does everybody want super fast spool time? Lag is a biproduct of a very fast car. When racing you want all the top end you can get. Not a superfast spool (which will just be a loss of traction) than run out of air.

Cheapturbo.com. all the brand new t3/t4's you want, with warranty, for like $525. I would guess your friend has never driven a Boosted honda before, because like whitey said, Quick spool = spinning tires, in first, second, third ...in most situations anyway.

this is not ssautocrome... this is a true garrett super 60 turbo, rebuilt with a 90 day warranty and the guy has like 1200 positive feebacks, and like zero negative.

whats so rong with having good low end trq? it is a daily driver, besides the t3 super 60 if ne of yall would have gone and read a turbo map, has an almost identical mapping to a t04e .60 ar intake housing with 60-1 intake wheel.... it has .48 exhaust housing and stage 3 exhaust wheel. traction is not that much of his concern because he has some HUGE slicks and a nice quafe lsd to take care of that. now i got a question for yall. I have personaly been in a friends car with a b18b ls engine for the dummies out there it runs 15 psi of boost daily uberdata tuned, never runs out of steam at 7000rpm nor does he ever lose ne boost at high rpm, and he is running a .42 intake .48exhaust t3 turbo. now yall give me a good reason why a super 60 wont work on a gsr which is only 1000rpm more redline and vtec...

Every turbo will "work." If there was only one turbo that would work with one car, then it would be called "the b16c1 turbo" or whatever. It all depends on what exactly you want to do. Sure the quick spool would be nice if traction is not an issue, like with an optimum suspension setup and perfect track conditions. Now lets hit the street races....all you're gonna do is smoke your tires. Reliability is also an issue for daily driven cars. With a big slow spooling turbo like a t3/t4oe for example, daily driving the car stays out of boost (unless you want to be boosting on the way to the grocery store), until you want it to built boost by getting on the gas (like when that queer in that SS is revving at you). Also, the less you beat on anything, the longer it is gonna last, IMHO.
