i plan on turbo my jdm b16a,how much boost a stock internal b16a can take ?

it depends on you IC/turbo set up but 8lb-10lbs is safe if you got a good tune. Heat is the biggest killer for high compression boost setups.

because hot intake = knock.
bad timing = knock

HCI actually had a good write up on this, and they got a b16 to hold something like 14psi on stock everything. At which point, the ringlands went, however it was putting down serious numbers cause of the turbo used, and really good tuning. But yeah, 10 should be the limit.

but it seems that the stage 1 wategate comming with it (srt4 neon) is around 15 psi

is there a way to lower it around 5 or 8 ?

get a boost controller and go from there. its never gonna stay the same but you can play with it.

 

I wouldn't run no more than 10. Its not really so much as how much boost but how much horsepower your car is making. I know Projekteg ran 12 psi for a while. His motor is built now though.
