Re:b16 vs. gsr head
Endyn is a fan of B16 heads. And anyone who can make a B20/vtec on pump gas put out 280, with their old design, and "rubbish parts" I think should be listened to.

Re:b16 vs. gsr head
I have a spare gsr water pump and timming belt at home just sitting around. But my LS is running all the LS gear right now except for the b16 oil pump.
If my compression now is 8.7 in my LS, what will it be after a b16 or gsr head? Stan |
Re:b16 vs. gsr head
B16a will bump it up .3 and the gsr will bump it up .5

Re:b16 vs. gsr head
stock B16 head can be had for $300 or less...depending on your timing and luck.

Re:b16 vs. gsr head
Hey stan, theres not much i can add to this topic that hasnt already been stated... however i just wanted to give you some insight as to what i went through with my ls vtec. I had a little bit of trouble in choosing the gsr head because there was a bunch of little stuff i had to keep getting that was specific to the gsr... i.e the throttle cable and throttle body. The manifold is a tighter fit then the b16 and if ur gonna get rid of the butterflies, take them out, dont just leave the vac line open. Good luck

u guys forgot the best part about gsr heads is the quench pads on the combustion chamber to help prevent detonation
