Yes, it was an AWD chassis. THe car sat in a field for 3 years because the previous owner didnt want to bleed the brakes, nor replace the alternator. I did these, tossed a turbo on, and Ive got about 1500 miles on it I think a wheel bearing is going bad in the passenger rear, if I drive over a washer-board set of bumps at any kind of speed, the wheel locks up. I learned this the hard way with a hot cup of coffee in my lap, and a nice view of the ditch to go with it put it in SL(the 6th speed), and climb your way out. Ahhhhh...this is going to be nice this winter :cigar in mouth as I recline in my lazy boy: :P

that AWM trans will bolt to a ZC ? now youve got my attention. anybody got a spare trans for one of these laying about. i know the 1st gen teg ZC and 86-89 accord trans internals are interchangable. i never knew they made and AWD civic. i would assume though that the 1st gen teg trans guts were used. hmmm now im thinking.

Yeah the internals are interchangeable, but how are you gonna add the differential from the civic tranny to yours? or are you talking about bolting it to your engine?

well actually only the bellhousing are different between the teg/accrod trans so in thoery it should bolt right to the 3g belhousing. unless im missing something about how the transfer dif is mounted. if you could send me a few pics id be most grateful. as for the rear dif theres alot of CRV in the junkyards these days.
