anyway to make sure BOV works?
Do you need to test the BOV before using putting it on? can you find out if it works before welding?
|
Re:anyway to make sure BOV works?
hook a vacuum line to it. rev your car. it'll close and open when you press on the gas and let off.

Re:anyway to make sure BOV works?
whoooo! fun! that's pretty cool... i wonder why riceboys don't do this to get the stupid sound
|
Re:anyway to make sure BOV works?
cause it wont give you a sound unless there is pressure to release, the air escaping is what makes the sound
|
Re:anyway to make sure BOV works?
lol, maybe riceboys will one day someone get like a pressurized source (like a small compressor from an airhorn) and hook it up and pretend they got boost!
anyhow, i hope i can weld it on my charge pipe, i don't have a flange though.. do i need a special flange for a 2G DSM BOV?? |
Re:anyway to make sure BOV works?
on some civic stock air intakes there is a hole that is the perfect size of a crappy plastic 2g bov. use that i got a ---- load of those layin' around

Re:anyway to make sure BOV works?
thats right kine, thats what I did. Used a 94 civic EX stock intake pipe
cut this out (dremel or X-acto knife) http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...3/fc6aae4f.jpg http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...0/fc6aae55.jpg make sure you have that rubber gasket piece on the BOV and just slide it into the socket, and it has a groove for a hose clamp. and plug the valve cover breather grommet with a bolt and a hose clamp otherwise air will leak out |
Re:anyway to make sure BOV works?
LMFAO... god that cracks me up everytime I see that..
------- ghetto-d, heh |
Re:anyway to make sure BOV works?
