It's not nearly as laggy as I expected it to be, the only other big turbo D local to me runs a t3/t67 and he has a much smaller powerband.

Minor you hit 400 right? So do you think this turbo is capable of that?

Rarely in first will it peg 15psi, I'm shifting at 8K, it'll hit 10 psi by about there. 2nd/3rd it'll start to spool around 2600-2700, around 4500-5000 all hell breaks loose and it's both hands on the wheel time.

As far as cheap big turbos go, this is the best suited to a smaller engine like the D. I havn't hit 400 yet but that's only due to the fact that I'm a slowass at sorting the car out. I've been blowing off one coupler at 10psi for a week now, just fixed tonight and it's pouring rain. The compressor wheel of the HY35 I have read is slightly smaller than the HX35, big deal, HX is good for 550whp so even if the HY flows a little less, I have no doubts I can 400, just need some race gas and dyno time.

I'm a big ----- though, this cam is starting to get old. Once it gets dyno time/better fuel tune and I know where it stands powerband wise, I might toss it and go with a Z6 head, not sure.
